The ORNL Augmented Reality Navigator is designed to be a navigation aid to visitors and newcomers to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The app is designed to use select buildings on the ORNL campus as navigation marks. The user can locate their destination on the toggled map and use the reference buildings to find their way.

Upon starting the app, it is suggested to let the iPhone find its current location for a few moments, then simply turn to face the selected destination overlaid on the screen.

Please note that if the app is used at a distance away from the ORNL campus, then the on-screen buildings will appear together in the general direction of ORNL until the user is close enough for the app determine the position differences. It is designed for use only on and around the ORNL campus.

This app is presented as a public service to newcomers and visitors to ORNL, and its creator is not affiliated with ORNL.
